These designs encompass a wide range of motifs, from florals and geometrics to abstract patterns and novelty prints, offering quilters endless possibilities for customization and personalization. Surface pattern designs enhance the visual appeal of quilts and contribute to their storytelling aspect, allowing quilters to convey themes, moods, and narratives through their fabric choices. Whether meticulously planned or spontaneously selected, surface pattern designs play a significant role in shaping a quilt’s overall aesthetic and impact, making them an indispensable aspect of the quilting process for enthusiasts of all styles and approaches.

Quilts I’ve Made

Making quilts is one of the main motivations for my design journey. I stepped back from quilting when I decided to return to school for my formal design education. Before that time I emersed myself in the craft of quilt making. Seeing some of those quilts would be fun and exciting for my site visitors.

The photo quality could be better. I will likely rephotograph what I can in the future. However, many were made and given as unique gifts, so I can no longer access them.
